The item may arrive days after the booking is made so ensure you book at least 3 days ahead of your rental start date.

Ensure you check and confirm the fit details provided before renting. We might not be able to retrieve and rent a new item for you in the case of ill-fitting.

Please do not clean the item at any point. The rental fee covers drycleaning, so the lender takes responsibility for that, to minimize damage or misplacement of the item. Simply package the item and wait for our partner pick-up service.

The rented item must be ready for pick-up on the last day of the rental. If the pick-up service arrives and your rented item is not ready for pick-up, you will be charged a new rental fee for same period as your last rental. This assumes that you need the item for longer.

To ensure that the platform is safe for everyone, we need to confirm that you are real and credible. We will verify your government ID, address, and phone number before you can fully participate on RedXchange. This process can take a few hours, but you'll be notified once you are set to proceed renting. Moreover, we are curating a community of circular fashion advocates, who are fashionably professionals, we do not want to have just anyone who will cause problems within our community.

Your information is held with high confidentiality and will not be shared with any third parties for any reason whatsoever without your consent. All data is transmitted and stored using encryption technology.

Please report to the lender with a picture immediately. The timestamp on the picture verifies when the issue was reported. If the issue is not resolved with your lender, please let our customer service team know and we might be able to find a workable solution quickly.

In the case where you no longer need the item even though you booked it for rental, you can cancel the rental by going to My Rentals and cancel the rental. A cancellation fee applies if you cancel a rental within 72 hours to the rental period. For instance, if the rental period was booked for 14th to 21st July, and you cancel after the 11th of July, you will be charged a cancellation fee (Usually 20% of the rental fee). Cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable. Cancellations before 72 hours are fully refundable.

You will be charged the full cost of the damage or the item if lost. We encourage Renters to handle their rented items carefully. Even though all items are insured, RedXchange reserves the right to charge for damages or losses especially exceeding the cover for the item. At any point you feel something has gone wrong with your transaction, feel free to contact our customer experience team immediately

Click on ‘Become a Lender’, you’ll find this icon on the home page and bottom of the page. Fill in the item details – type of item, size, brand name, colour, and any other relevant information that will help the renter make a decision (for example, styling options). Include any defects the item may have to avoid returns and losing your credibility on the platform. We want to ensure that all parties are happy about their transactions, that way the community will thrive. Set your delivery and laundry costs, and voila...you can publish your listing.

You can list dresses and accessories that are considered high fashion (we will not accept fast fashion items such as T-shirts, regular casual shirts, pyjamas, lounge wear, and jeans). The retail value of the item is above N50,000 for accessories and N100,000 for clothing. The item must be in great condition. Examples of worthy items are; Wedding dresses, Blazers (Men and Women), Tuxedos , Evening gowns, Asoebi dresses, Traditional wedding attires, Wedding and Maternity robes, Costumes (traditional parties and movies), Corporate dresses for photoshoots, Couture dresses, Fascinators and accessories, Bags

High quality photos ensure that your listing is appealing to customers. Images showing the items on a human being will work best to project the fit of the item. Use a white background or use remove.bg to remove busy backgrounds from your photos.

RedXchange suggests a 15% to 20% of the retail price of the item. However, you can set the price as you deem fit considering other factors like high demand, seasonal items, etc. Essentially, we suggest but it’s really up to you as the business owner (wardrobe owner).

Once a Renter makes a request, you’ll get a notification to go accept the request on your Lending page (the page you created when you are creating your profile for lending). You’ll find the details of the request, rental dates, item(s), and the amount you’ll receive at the end of the transaction. You can go ahead and accept or decline the request. Please ensure that this action is done within 24 hours of request.

The Lender will take care of laundry before and after renting is completed. Charges for laundry are included in the rental fee.

Find your Renter’s address and phone number in the lending section of your account, then find a ‘Book pick up’ link to book the pickup through our trusted delivery partners. The delivery company will come to your location and pick up the item to deliver to the Renter. Once the rental duration elapses, the delivery company will pick up the item and return to your address.

Ensure you include in your listings, fit details, size, length, and any other details that are important to help the Renter determine the fit. We will not be responsible for any fit complaints and will not refund for fit errors made by Lenders.

When creating your Lender profile, you’ll be asked to include your bank account details where your money will be paid into within 72 hours of the end of every rental period. The rental period is the period from when the Renter receives the item to when it is returned to you.

We ensure a verification process for all Xchangers, that way we know they are real and credible people. You can also charge a security deposit on your item (same way you include laundry and shipping fees), to cover for any damages that might occur. This deposit will be returned to the renter if the item is returned in same good condition it was sent. Security deposits are recommended for only high value items like wedding and couture dresses, and about the same amount as the rental price. There will also be reviews from both Renter and Lender to ensure we are maintaining a thriving community of trusted Xchangers. You can buy resale items from any of our listed designers or personal wardrobes. Just go to Resale, browse, put item in your closet and pay. Your new item will be shipped to you within 3 days.

Yes, you can if the Lender is willing to sell the item. Go to the item listing and request that the item be sold to you. Click on the ‘Buy item’ tab, it notifies the Lender about your request and then, it’s either approved or denied. The resale process will happen once your rental period is over. So, request to buy once your rental is over.

Click on ‘Request Repair’, select the category that applies to your need from the drop-down menu (e.g Fix zipper, reduce hem by 2 inches, etc), then input your location and submit. ReXchange will receive your request and direct it to the closest available tailor/brand to you and arrange pick up of your item.

We have partnered with expert tailors and brands who provide quality tailoring services. These partners are in different locations, so we have at least 1 available to serve you per time.

It takes about 3 to 5 working days to get the clothes fixed and shipped, and another 2 to 3 working days to get to your doorstep.

We ask for your sizing details and especially details pertaining to the repair. For example, if you want to slim-fit an oversized skirt waist, we need to know your preferred waist measurement, so we’ll request that. If you do not have your measurement, we will request that you include another item of yours that fits you perfectly into the package for repairs so our tailors will pick your measurement from your perfect item. Both items will be returned to you after repairs.

Cost depends on the kind of repair and the amount of work. Once you select the category of repair, the corresponding price will be displayed. But it’s nothing compared to losing your garment or leaving them lying idle without use.

Go to the Repairs section, click on ‘Become a tailoring partner’, fill in the details and our team will contact you for some verification and then onboarding.
